Fernanda Ly : Pink hair and the lone eyes

When I first saw Fernanda Ly I immediately fell in love. She’s that type of model who fits both Europe and Asia. I guess the Western world loves her because of her unusual hair and very quirky mood.  In front of the camera you can see a variety of her personalities: from the lone eyes to funky crazy smile. It’s captivating and intriguing.

On the other side, Asian market got used to that craziness and hair experiments. When I first saw Fernanda at the Louis Vuitton’s show, I thought she’s Japanese. Her style reflects their culture in so many ways. But it doesn’t matter where she’s originally from as long as she is really breath of fresh air in fashion industry.

Rila Fukushima

Rila Fukushima (  福島 リラ ) is Japanese fashion model and actress with unique unforgettable face. 
Rila was born in Kyushu, in the South of Japan, but grew up in Tokyo. She was always interested in fashion and magazines. She once applied for a job in model agency as a booker, but was signed in and became a model instead.

Рила Фукусима – японская модель и актриса с уникальной, запоминающейся внешностью. Она родилась на Кюсю ( на юге Японии ), но выросла в Токио. 
 Рила всегда интересовалась модой и журналами, но не рассматривала себя в качестве модели. Однажды она пошла в местное модельное агентство, чтобы получить работу букером. Но, вместо этого, с ней подписали модельный контракт, так и началась ее карьера.

Wing Shya

I always wanted to live in 2046.

The 2046 of Wong Kar Wai. Not only the movie, but his point of view inspired me to create paintings, develop architectural projects and finally start photographing. At first it was only portraits of friends, some objects and abstract silhouettes, but then it grew up into something new and special for me.

Like being hypnotized, I looked at the scenes of Wonga Kar Wai’s movies and felt like the other reality is taking over me. It’s real in its own way, you want to touch and feel it.

Being so interested in Wong Kar Wai’s art, I used to browse the internet in search for the news and information about it. The one thing I’ve never thought about is: who’s taking the pictures for his movies? So, once I found out about Wing Shya.

Я всегда хотела жить в 2046-м.

В 2046-м Вонга Кар – Вая. Не только кино, его взгляд на мир, вдохновили меня рисовать, делать архитектурные проекты, основанные на его фильмах и, наконец, фотографировать. Вначале это были портреты друзей, отдельные объекты и невнятные абстрактные силуэты, затем это переросло в нечто большее, особенное и осмысленное.

Как будто под влиянием гипноза, я рассматривала кадры из фильмов Кар-Вая и меня захватывала иная реальность. Она живая, до нее хочется дотронуться и ощутить ее на себе.

Конечно, будучи столь сильно заинтересованной творчеством Вонга Кар-Вая, я не раз просматривала интернет в поисках информации о нем и его фильмах. О чем я никогда не задумывалась, так это о том, кто делал промо-снимки для его картин. И вот в одной из статей я наткнулась на имя Wing Shya – это и есть тот самый человек, делающий фото для фильмов Кар-Вая.

Wardrobe organizing tips.Как организовать свой гардероб

I’m sure every girl likes shopping (at least I really do!) and I used to buy everything I like once I saw it in the shop or online. But buying stuff without thinking clearly isn’t good for anyone. So, after some time, I end up with huge closed full of clothing, which sometimes I don’t wear at all or don’t like anymore.

After my trip to Japan few years ago, I bought tons of clothes, accessories and shoes. I was so happy and into them that I’ve been wearing it for about 2-3 years (of course, I used to buy other garments to add to my wardrobe and mixed them). That time I used to like floral prints, bright colors, eclectic and bright style. But then, as you see me now, I got tired of that crazy style and figured out that I love minimalistic style and I want everything to be clean, laconic, simple and beautiful.

So, then I had a problem of organizing my wardrobe for the first time. It was a transition period of my life and I definitely wanted some changes. So, I’ve sold half of my wardrobe on eBay, some of the garments I gave to my friends and the other half I’ve donated to local charity organisation. But even then I had a huge closet. So, I’ve decided to find a way to avoid this situation and have started reading various advices over the internet and asking my friends about their wardrobe organizing routine.

Minju Kim for H&M

Finally, it's almost here! Winner of the H&M Design Award 2013, Minju Kim has developed pieces for being sold in selected H&M stores around the world from October 17th. I only hope Minju Kim's collection will be in Russian H&M stores too.

Minju Kim has graduated from Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. She has showed a great collection with transformed drawn characters on her garments. Ahain, I can feel a bit of Korean themes in her clothing. I love the structure and layers she put there. The texture of textile is strong and soft at the same time, the color palette is fresh, but not too colorful.

Minju Kim' s collection consists of nine women’s pieces and two accessories. I'm absolutely in love with sweatshirt and thinking about buying t-shirt too. If I had an endless budget, I would probably just buy all of these pieces. Although they're not completely in my style, I feel like we belong together...

Bambi Northwood-Blyth for Urban Outfitters. Inspiration

Have been browsing some old photos of Bambi Northwood-Blyth and found this amazing shoot for Urban Outfitters Catalogue from 2012 year.

There's such a great summer mood in it, so magical and inspiring! Maybe these photos look so attractive for me, because I want to go to the sea so much! I dream about few days with a magical sea view... But unfortunately, I'm stuck in the city with my work and can't let myself have a vacation at the moment. I only hope that I'll have one really soon.

Bambi always look so amazing on the photos, I love her really natural look and relaxed style. Hope you will enjoy these photos.
